Data and purposes
We process your name, email and authentication data to operate your account, optional profile fields, posts, friendships, fans, community memberships, votes and profile visits. Infrastructure providers may process IP addresses, connection information and technical logs for delivery, security and troubleshooting. We use data necessary to provide your requested service, meet legal obligations and, where applicable, pursue legitimate security and abuse-prevention interests while respecting your rights. Specific consent will be requested when required; reading this policy is not blanket consent.
Public information
Profile details, photos, scraps, friends, fans, communities and forums may be viewed without an account. Your authentication email and password are not displayed on your public profile. Pending testimonials are visible to their author and recipient; accepted testimonials are public. Visitor lists are available to the profile owner and respect participants’ visit settings. Avoid publishing sensitive information.
Cookies and providers
Authentication cookies maintain your session; blocking them may prevent login. A preference cookie remembers your language for up to one year. This version does not integrate behavioral advertising or audience analytics in the application code. Infrastructure providers may use operational and security cookies and logs. Vercel hosts the application, Neon provides the database and authentication, and Cloudflare resolves the domain. The database infrastructure is in the United States, so international processing may occur. Contact us for information about providers and applicable transfer conditions. Data may also be disclosed to comply with valid legal obligations.
Retention and deletion
We retain necessary data while accounts and content are in use. Deletion requests are assessed against purposes, legal obligations and the exercise of rights. Necessary logs and backups may remain for additional periods with restricted access. We cannot remove copies made by others of public content. Account closure is currently requested by email.
Your rights and updates
You can request confirmation, access, correction, sharing information and, where applicable, portability, anonymization, blocking, deletion or withdrawal of consent at privacy@ourcoot.com. We may request proportionate identity verification, never your password. Requests follow applicable legal procedures and deadlines. You may also contact Brazil’s ANPD. Material policy changes will be communicated in Ourcoot.
